Graduated from mere Italian food enthusiast to bonafide Italophile in 2001 when he made the first of many trips to Italy. Since 2004 he has taught Italian at various institutions including Brigham Young University, the University of Pittsburgh, New York University, and currently the University of Utah. Aside from teaching, his short list of Italian-related passions include dialectology, Renaissance theater, cinema, children’s literature (for his two daughters), and most recently, opera. Wayne oversees the the organization of the events the Italian Club of Salt Lake hosts for students and the community each year.
